Thanks for Your Support in 2016
(12/10/2016) This year was one of the most exciting yet, with the culmination of “Journey,” my limited edition fine art book that officially debuted in my first solo show and Artist Talk at Tyndall Galleries in Chapel Hill.
Copies of the signed, limited edition book are hand bound and letter pressed by Horse & Buggy in Durham. The first 26 copies are deluxe editions with a beautiful, handmade paper cover. The images in the book follow the “Hero’s Journey” (or Heroine, in this case!) paired with quotes from Carl Jung and Joseph Campbell, with a forward by Chapel Hill photographer and author, John Rosenthal.
I also enjoyed many opportunities to showcase my work in new venues and a wide variety of places including group shows at The Light Factory in Charlotte, CAM in Raleigh and Candela in Richmond, Virginia, and images in two separate exhibits at the SE Center for Photography in Greenville, SC. In addition to these shows, my photomontage pieces Transition, Alchemy, and Curve were nominated for the 2016 Spider Award.
Substantial work was completed on my new home and studio in Chapel Hill and we hope to move in early next year. The studio space promises exciting new opportunities and inspiration.
